What is the difference between explosion-proof motor and ordinary motor

2018-08-21

Explosion-proof motor is mainly used in inflammable and explosive places, explosion-proof motor special structure, mainly in order to prevent the motor in case of spark ignition and detonating bad environment. Such as: inflammable and explosive chemical plant, flour processing plant, brewery, oil field oil depot... And so on.

Its characteristics are:

1. The cover of both sides of the motor adopts groove dark bolt, and the slot is 5 times deeper than the ordinary motor (it also needs to add asbestos pad as required), mainly in case the internal winding is burned, the spark will not flow outward along the gap.

2. Brushless excitation, rotating rectifier plate and static excitation cabinet, excitation control system is reliable; Positive polarity slip excitation is accurate, no impact; The excitation system has reliable out-of-step protection and strong restep ability. The circuit design is reasonable, the discharge resistance does not heat in the work; Wide range of excitation current regulation.

3. The external power supply inlet of the junction box is extended by more than ten centimeters and can be flexibly connected with sealed fire-resistant tubular thread interface at both ends. It can be flexibly and reliably connected with explosion-proof threaded steel pipe, so that the motor and input power line all meet the closed fire-proof requirements.

4. The protection grade of the enclosure is IP54.

5. For the cooling fan at the end of the motor, in order to prevent the blade from touching the hood, the outer edge of the blade is larger from the hood, and the blade is made of plastic.

6. Set the moisture-proof heater with increasing safety, which is fixed in the cover at the bottom of the motor for heating and moisture-proof when stopping.

7. Grade F insulation is adopted, and temperature rise is assessed according to Grade B.
